It was a peculiar season for Alexander, who missed nine games with injury and another due to a team-imposed suspension, but he was out there during the playoffs, and his presence was key for Green Bay's defense. A healthy Alexander -- the league's highest-paid cornerback -- would go a long way toward the Packers being more effective on the defensive side of the ball in 2024.

Alexander aggravated a left ankle injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 48-32 wild-card win over the Cowboys and didn't return, Wes Hodklewicz of the Packers' official site reports.
After spraining his ankle in Wednesday's team walk-through, Alexander was listed as questionable leading up to the game but received clearance ahead of kickoff. Before departing with about five minutes left in the third quarter, the 26-year-old cornerback made a big impact during his time on the field with seven tackles to go along with an acrobatic interception in Dallas territory in the first quarter that directly led to a Green Bay touchdown. Alexander was able to walk off the field under his own power after sustaining the injury, but it's unclear if he'll make enough progress in his recovery over the next week to have a chance at playing in Saturday's divisional-round game in San Francisco.

Alexander (ankle) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday's game against the Cowboys, Ryan Wood of USA Today reports.
Alexander was a non-participant in Green Bay's practice for the second consecutive day, but he still has a chance of suiting up in the wild-card round. Head coach Matt LeFleur told reporters Friday that the Packers will give Alexander as much time as they can to figure out if he's able to play, and he'll be a true game-time decision come Sunday, per Wood. If the All-Pro cornerback is unable to go for Green Bay's playoff game, expect Keisean Nixon and Corey Ballentine to shoulder increased workloads in the team's secondary.
