Two traditional Indian desserts, Phirni and Kheer, have garnered global attention as they got recognised among the '10 Best Puddings in the World' by Taste Atlas, a food and travel guide.

Phirni, a north-Indian delicacy, claimed the 7th spot on the list. It is a creamy dessert made with ground rice, milk, sugar and aromatic cardamom.

Kheer, on the other hand, grabbed the 10th spot. While its ingredient base remains common – rice and milk, the final taste varies greatly depending on the spices, nuts and fruits added. This delightful pudding is usually made during festivals, carrying with it integral cultural significance.
