Whether you’re looking to give your entrance some seasonal decking, or you just want to find the perfect specimen to carve up in the spirit of Halloween, then you can already get started at a picturesque pumpkin patch around Los Angeles. Here are all the best farms and patches that are open for the spooky season offering a feel-gourd time for fall.
1. Nights of the Jack
This is the pumpkin patch you don’t want to miss! Nights of the Jack is a Halloween Jack O’ Lantern experience tailored for all ages. The show features thousands of hand-carved, illuminated pumpkins, situated throughout a stunning property at King Gillette Ranch in Calabasas. This year, give yourself, your family, and your friends a chance to experience the Halloween season like never before! Take a walk through the festive pumpkin trail, and see giant pumpkin sculptures like dinosaurs, creatures of the sea, and iconic LA signs!

2. Underwood Family Farms
This pastoral pumpkin haven returns with jam-packed festivities to help you find your perfect pumpkin. This year Underwood Family Farms is returning with their gigantic pumpkin patch where you can pick your own along with 5 special themed weekends of live entertainment and family fun. You’ll also be able to visit the adorable four-legged residents go sunflower picking and visit get your seasonal selfie at the pumpkin house along with other displays. Admission is $8 on weekdays and $15 on weekends, children under 2 go in free of charge.

3. Tanaka Farms
Pick your pumpkins straight from the vine at Tanaka Farms’ lovely patch in Irvine. To make your way around the 30 acres of land you can either take a tractor ride with a pitstop at a pumpkin canyon followed by a stop-off for a “U-pick” session. Or, you can navigate the farm yourself with the drive-through option on weekends. The patch will be open through October 31 with reservations required for select days.

4. Live Oak Canyon Pumpkin Patch
Live Oak Canyon holds the title of the largest U-Pick pumpkin patch in all of San Bernardino County. It also has some of the most beautiful displays we’ve seen in the past years, most notably the gorgeous organic pumpkin house with the vegetables still attached to its vines. This year, the gourd patch opens earlier with the final day for picking on Halloween.

5. Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch
If you’re looking for an Insta-worthy spot, then this female-owned pumpkin patch in Los Angeles is for you! Mr. Bones Pumpkin Patch is filled with gourd-geous displays, including a pumpkin villa that will make you feel like you’ve stepped into Cinderella. Beyond gourd hunting, expect to find a petting zoo, pony rides, a pumpkin village, face painting, a straw maze, a super slide, and much more.

6. Shawn’s Pumpkin Patch

7. Descanso Gardens
Descanso Garden’s beloved Carved trail returns for three weeks starting on October 6. Guests will take evening strolls under the stars amongst hundreds of glowing, beautifully hand-carved pumpkins and other oversized organic sculptures. 8. Mr. Jack O’ Lantern at The Original Farmers Market
Keeping the pumpkin patch tradition alive since 1934 in Los Angeles, the Original Farmers Market fall extravaganza returns for another year. Spend the day listening to live bands, petting cute animals, watching pig races, or engaging in pumpkin bowling, candy corn hole, as well as a pie-eating contest hosted by Du-pars. 9. Cal Poly Pomona Pumpkin Festival
Poly Pomona’s Don B. Huntly College of Agriculture takes seasonal squash extremely seriously. Their Pomona Pumpkin Festival is home to over 40,000 pumpkins so you’ll have no trouble finding the perfect gourd for yourself. After that, you can kill some time with hay wagon rides, squash tunnels, pumpkin seed-spitting contests, and a farmer’s market filled with student-grown produce!

10. Pumpkins in the Pines at Skypark at Santa’s Village
If you’re wondering how Santa and his elves stay busy through the fall, then you might be glad to hear that it involves a whole lot of delightful fall festivities. At Pumpkins in the Pines, shiny baubles are replaced with plump orange pumpkins on the Christmas tree and you’ll find everything from cookie decorating and light shows to a community-sponsored trick-or-treat event and costume party. Once you’ve chosen the perfect specimen, you’ll get to decorate it at Santa’s Workshop.

11. Irvine Park Railroad’s Pumpkin Patch
